Scouts is for young people aged between 11 and 14 years. At this point in their lives Scouts show great enthusiasm for activities that give them a sense of achievement and follow their special interests with intensity.
As a Scout you get the chance to do loads of exciting activities you wouldn’t normally get to do including camping, hot air ballooning, skiing, abseiling … and more! With Les Explorateurs you can do all this … while speaking French!
Scouts from Les Explorateurs have participated in Australian (2013, 2016 and 2019) and New Zealand Jamborees (2017 and 2020).
In 2017, a small contingent of our Scouts visited Europe (Aventure Europenne 2017), exploring the historical roots of Scouting. In the UK they visited Gilwell Park and Brownsea Island (where the first scout camp was held in 1907).
They then traveled to France to spend time with a french scout group, visit cultural sites in Paris and pay their respects at the Australian National Memorial at Villers–Bretonneux.
